I ordered pea shoot seeds (AKA peas) online, soaked them for 24 hours, and then planted them a quarter inch deep in soil. Keep the soil moist and you get shoots in a week!

Plants have evolved very specifically to exploit the boundary between the air and the earth. Who would have known this would be so valuable!
